In 1998, when Valley-Wide Recreation began its Youth Sports Scholarship Program, the Friends were the first to contribute to the program. Since then, the Friends have donated an average of $15,000 every year to ensure all kids in our community are able to play regardless of economic status.
Additionally, “Friends” sponsorships include: Breakfast with Santa, installation of outdoor exercise equipment and recreational equipment at various parks, community accessibility improvements, landscape and spectating area amenities at various parks, community events sound systems, and most recently new gym floors at Francis Domenigoni & Valle Vista Community Center. It is our goal to raise awareness of, and support, Valley-Wide Recreation through the good work of Friends. 100% of donations go directly to the community as there is no payroll and the foundation is completely volunteer based.
